Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 just ended a week ago, leading into the new major collaboration with Fox's iconic TV series, The Simpsons. The new Simpsons collaboration brings in a new map, battle pass, skins, and a brand new cosmetic category, Sidekicks.
Sidekicks are the newest addition to Fortnite's already growing cosmetic roster. These new tiny friends will accompany players in-game. Here's a look at all the new Sidekicks and how to get them.
What are Sidekicks in Fortnite?
Sidekicks are friendly cosmetics that stay by your side. You can bring a Sidekick with you into Fortnite Battle Royale, Fortnite Save the World, Fortnite Festival, LEGO Fortnite, and developer-made experiences.
Sidekicks do not provide any gameplay advantage and don't take damage. They react to the world around you, and you will be able to interact with them through Sidekick Emotes.
All Sidekicks and How to Get Them in Fortnite
The first Sidekick to join Fortnite is Peels through the mini-season battle pass. There are a total of seven sidekicks in Fortnite currently, and here's how you can get them:
- Peels: 1,000 V-Bucks (The Simpsons Battle Pass)
- Lil' Raptor: 1,200 V-Bucks
- Spike: 1,200 V-Bucks
- Bonesy: 1,200 V-Bucks
- Flopstick: 1,500 V-Bucks
- Cuddle Team Jr: 1,500 V-Bucks
- Doggo Jr: 1,500 V-Bucks
Aside from Peely, all sidekicks can be purchased through the in-game store. After purchasing a Sidekick, you must lock in its appearance and name to take it with you. However, a fair warning for all players purchasing a Sidekick: you can only customise your Sidekick's appearance once.
To further customise your Sidekick, you have to purchase the same variant of the little pet from the in-game store once more. The variants of the sidekicks are only unlockable through this method, and there is no other workaround for it. With future seasonal updates, Epic Games will add more sidekicks in the game.
