Mortal Kombat 1 will have a Kombat Pack that will include a set of exclusive fighters and skins. Here's everything you need to know about Kombat Pack and how to get it.
Warner Bros. today officially announced Mortal Kombat 1 , the next fighting title from the legendary developer NetherRealm Studio . Mortal Kombat 1 comes later this year with pre-orders going live on May 19, 2023, and as you probably expect, there are plenty of pre-order bonuses and special editions that can be confusing at first, including the Kombat Pack.
Kombat Pack is included with the Mortal Kombat 1 Premium Edition, which will be available physically and digitally for $110 across all confirmed platforms. Kombat Pack comes with exclusive benefits like early access to fighters and exclusive skins.
NetherRealm have released some details about Kombat Pack and what you can expect from one if you decide to get the premium edition. Here's some info from the official FAQ:
Mortal Kombat 1 - Kombat Pack content
- Available at launch:
- A Johnny Cage skin with the likeness of Jean-Claude Van Damme
- Available post-launch:
- Early Access to six new playable characters
- Five Kameo Fighters
According to the leak from Amazon Italy, these are the fighters that will be in Kombat Pack 1:
- Quan Chi
- Omni Man
- Ermac
- Peacemaker
- Takeda
- Homelander
Kombat Pack 1 Kameo characters
- Tremor
- Johnny Cage
- Khameleon
- Mavado
- Ferra
- Jean Claude Van Damme skin
As you can see, there's plenty here that sounds exciting but sadly, we don't have all the details about the characters that will be coming to the game post-launch. Also, it's worth explaining that Kameo Fighters are a unique roster of partner characters to assist during matches and it seems they won't work like in previous Mortal Kombat games where they were part of the main roster.
Hopefully, NetherRealm will clear this up in the coming days to avoid any confusion that may rise within the community.
Mortal Kombat 1 is officially launching on September 19, 2023, for PC , PlayStation 5 , Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch .
