Konami is giving us one more taste of Metal Gear Survive via another Beta weekend event and this time it will include PC alongside the consoles. You can give it a shot 16 - 18 February 2018.

If you're not sure whether to buy the first Kojimaless and storyless Metal Gear, this might be your last opportunity to measure if it's worth your time. The beta will include three different missions stretched over two maps.

Metal Gear Survive is primarily a co-op experience, as evidenced by the fact this is the first Metal Gear title that requires a permanent internet connection and therefore the beta will also be played with up to three additional players. Everyone needs their little helpers.

The event will offer special missions each day that will award you cosmetic items such as a FOXHOUND name plate, a bandana resembling the one both Solid and Naked Snake wore and a Metal Gear Rex head accessory. Konami did not specify whether you will be able to get these once the game is released, but there is a good chance these are rewards for beta participants only.

While on the topic of things not specified by Konami, it is also unclear whether the missions and maps available will be the same ones that were included in the January beta event.

Bear in mind the game will ''feature'' day 1 DLC, microtransactions and all that good money squeezing modern gaming industry stuff. While it's a big minus in our book, we will be doing coverage of this event in search for the game's potential saving graces on top of the we did back in January.
