While everyone seems to be pulling out of the once-beloved convention, Konami might be going in full speed ahead.
Ubisoft was one of the latest in a fairly long line of publishers to decide to skip E3 2023 , which left the fans a bit scared that what was once a pinnacle of gaming-related conventions may not even happen in the end.
Meanwhile, Konami seems to be pushing in the opposite direction, with rumours of them revealing a banger during the event.
Metal Gear Solid 3 is easily one of the most recognisable games they ever published and now that everything is getting a remake, it looks like they are ready to reveal it.
Anthony Robinson, the owner of VGC, recently spoke about the possibility during a podcast as he mentioned MGS3 remake might appear during a pretty stacked showcase from Konami.
Robinson's wording leaves little to no room for doubt about the remake's existence, the only question appears to be when it will be shown to the public.
Besides the Kojima classic, Konami is also expected to show a new Castlevania game, which may ride on the hype from the recently-announced crossover with Dead Cells.
It also remains to be seen whether E3 will happen at all or if Konami will follow in the steps of others by opting to have their own showcase instead of being part of E3 2023.
