RTS fans who have been itching for a WW2 game might be in luck as Men of War 2 is ramping up its promotional efforts, hinting at the release date drawing closer.
Fulqrum Publishing and Best Way revealed a teaser trailer for the upcoming sequel to Men of War. While only 30 seconds long, it does show glimpses of gameplay that should hold the fans' attention until the cavalry arrives.
By cavalry, we mean a proper-length trailer that will arrive on September 1, 2022, while this one warms people up during Gamescom. Unfortunately, the wider public will not be able to give it a shot during the event.
On the other hand, the wait for the actual release shouldn't be too long. MoW2 doesn't have an official release date yet but the placeholder on Steam is set for 2022 and if it ends up being correct, the game should arrive within the next three months.
Compared to the first game, MoW2 is set to bring new units with different specialisations, supposedly pinpoint historical accuracy and more.
As far as the topics go, the game will feature both Eastern and Western fronts throughout the singleplayer narrative-led campaigns. Skirmish modes will also be present, as well as multiplayer.
According to the system requirements listed on Steam, Men of War 2 will not be a hardware-eating monster since even the recommended specs list GTX 1660 Ti GPU, which wasn't top of the line back when it was new, two generations ago.
