The League of Legends World Championship 2022 is underway and is held in Noth America this year. It's also the worst region in the world when it comes to professional play, period, and the only ones who haven't outright admitted that are Riot Games.
The LCS is the least viewed region in the world, when it comes to pro play, and there is an obvious reason for it.
Currently, during the first round robin of the World Championship 2022, North American teams have not won a single game, and their overall score is 0-9.
This has prompted their usual fans to take to joining about it on social media and creating memes, while others, such s Tyler 1 who has a work connection to NA, however tangential, are taking a harder stance.
In his rant on a recent stream, Tyler 1 has called the NA player "paycheck stealers", has said that he doesn't consider himself a part of NA anymore, and is now disowning them.
His reasoning for this is, it seems, that NA fans, after they've watched their teams crash and burn in Worlds, take out their anger on streamers such as himself, while the pro players exist in their untouchable bubble where no negative feedback and flame can reach them.
Whatever the case is, if NA doesn't step up their game in the next round-robin, there will be no teams representing NA in the knockout phase.
