Mortal Kombat 11's full fighter roster has been leaked on Reddit and it shows a couple of new, yet unannounced fighters. The post has been quickly removed but one ResetEra member acted even quicker to save and re-upload the screenshot.
NetherRealm have been building up the hype for Mortal Kombat 11 in the last month, with the introduction of brand new and returning characters. The roster counts 17 fighters at the moment but the latest leak suggests that 25 fighters could be available on launch.
The screenshot of Mortal Kombat 11's selection screen first appeared on Reddit but it was quickly removed by the moderators. However, a ResetEra user named NeoRaider was even quicker to download the screenshot and share it with the forum.
As you can see in the picture below, the selection screen looks pretty legit and it's from one of the early builds of the game, which explains placeholder avatars for some characters. In addition to these placeholders, the selection screen also has nine empty slots and it's possible that these are reserved for future DLC characters.
The screenshot is pretty blurry and names are almost unreadable, so it might be hard to recognise some of the fighters. To help you with that, here's a full list of all of them as they appear in the selection screen: Jacqui Briggs, Cetrion, Kano, Geras, Frost, D’Vorah, Baraka, Cassie Cage, Kung Lao, Kotal Kahn, Erron Black, Liu Kang, Scorpion, Sub Zero, Raiden, Kollector, Kabal, Jade Skarlet and Sonya.
In addition to these characters, two slots are reserved with Jax and Joh, which are obviously for Jax and Johnny Cage - who doesn't appear in the selection screen but was officially confirmed earlier this week.
The placeholder avatars also include Noo, Kit and Sha which could be short forms for Noob Saibot, Kitana and Shang Tsung. It's also possible that Sha is for Shao Khan but these placeholders are looking like slots for the standard roster and Shao Khan is already confirmed as a pre-order only bonus.
When compared to the previous instalment, the number of fighters is almost identical. On launch, Mortal Kombat X had 24 playable characters, with 9 additional fighters added through DLCs, which makes the leak even more credible.
