The latest Patch 25.05 update from Riot Games for League of Legends brings multiple champion changes to improve game balance.
The latest patch update modifies champion damage outputs while adjusting their survivability and ability scaling features.
Power distribution shifts affect champions like Poppy and K’Sante but other champions like Zed and Seraphine receive buffs to enhance their performance.
Champion adjustments in Patch 25.05
Ambessa – E damage nerfed
Ambessa demonstrates excessive burst potential against squishy opponents. The base damage of her Lacerate (E) ability receives a reduction to ensure fair gameplay.
- Lacerate (E): 40/65/90/115/140 → 40/60/80/100/120
Aphelios – Attack speed buffed
Aphelios players have been choosing spell-focused builds instead of basic attacks. Players who invest in attack speed will benefit from his increased base attack speed ratio.
- Attack Speed Ratio: 0.640 → 0.658
Ashe – R damage reduced
Recent buffs have pushed Ashe's ultimate to excessive power levels. The damage of Enchanted Crystal Arrow (R) has been decreased across all ranks in this update.
- Enchanted Crystal Arrow (R): 250/450/650 → 200/400/600
Aurora – Burst power reduced
The midgame damage Aurora produces currently exceeds acceptable limits. Her E – The Weirding receives a reduced AP ratio while her R – Between Worlds undergoes a slow damage reduction.
- The Weirding (E): AP ratio lowered from 80% to 70%
- Between Worlds (R): Border collision slow reduced from 75% → 50%
Cho’Gath – Mid lane burst nerfed
Cho’Gath’s skills are being toned down to decrease his excessive burst damage output in mid lane.
- Rupture (Q): 80/145/210/275/340 → 80/140/200/260/320
- Feral Scream (W): 80/135/190/245/300 → 80/130/180/230/280
- Vorpal Spikes (E): The damage from Vorpal Spikes (E) increases significantly at higher ranks yet begins with a smaller base value.
Elise – Q damage reduced
Elise's power increase from recent buffs prompts this update to decrease damage from her Neurotoxin (Q) and Venomous Bite (Q).
- Neurotoxin (Q – Human Form): 40/75/110/145/180 → 40/70/100/130/160
- Venomous Bite (Q – Spider Form): 60/90/120/150/180 → 50/80/110/140/180
K’Sante – Passive and W damage reduced
Riot wants to reduce K’Sante’s early game dominance by decreasing his passive damage and Path Maker (W) scaling.
- Dauntless Instinct (Passive): Base damage reduced from 20 to 12
- Path Maker (W): The range for K'Sante’s Path Maker true damage bonus has been lowered from 10-100% to 10-80%.
Dr. Mundo – Base health increased
Item nerfs have caused Mundo to perform poorly thus Riot increases his base health.
- Base Health: 613 → 640
Poppy – AD growth buffed, support nerfed
Poppy’s power now moves towards dominance in top lane and jungle assignments. This change provides improved scaling during the late stages at the cost of reduced early game strength.
- HP Growth: 104 → 110
- Iron Ambassador (Passive): Shield scaling now starts at 11% and reaches up to 20% of the maximum HP.
- Heroic Charge (E): Seraphine’s Heroic Charge ability now deals less base damage but has improved attack damage scaling across all ranks.
Seraphine – Q bonus damage buffed
High Note (Q) on Seraphine received a damage boost because she has been underperforming.
- Maximum Champion Bonus Damage: 60% → 75%
Skarner – Q and E adjustments
Skarner's mobility and burst strength receive a minor reduction.
- Shattered Earth (Q): The Slow caused by Shattered Earth (Q) now lasts 1s after decreasing from a previous duration of 1.25s and the Final Attack Bonus Damage has dropped from 10% to a maximum of 8% of target's HP.
- Ixtal’s Impact (E): Cooldown increased from 20/19/18/17/16 → 22/21/20/19/18
Yorick – Jungle clear speed reduced
Due to Yorick’s strong jungle performance Riot has decided to nerf his ultimate ability Eulogy of the Isles.
- Maiden Monster Damage Cap: 100 → 50
Zed – E damage buffed
The game developers have enhanced Zed's Shadow Slash ability (E) to boost his overall damage.
- Shadow Slash (E): 65/90/115/140/165 → 70/95/120/145/170
