League of Legends Patch Notes 14.6

League of Legends patch 14.6 made multiple changes to the overall system. These changes include restrictions on purchasing Doran's items and several quality of life changes.

League of Legends Patch 14.6 delivers substantial adjustments to items and champions showing either overperformance or underperformance. While many champions receive minor tweaks, Galio, Karma, Kayn, and Rek'Sai undergo the most significant changes.

This patch is now live, so players can anticipate these adjustments on their respective servers. Additionally, Riot Games is providing some much-needed attention to ARAM, offering updates to this game mode alongside the usual focus on Summoner's Rift.

Besides these, Riot also made several quality-of-life and system changes in this patch. So let's take a look at those changes in detail:

System Changes on League of Legends Patch 14.6

Doran's Items Changes

Players cannot purchase Doran's Blade, Doran's Ring, or Doran's Shield if they already have World Atlas or Runic Compass in their inventory. The same restriction applies to the Mosstomper, Gustwalker, and Scorchclaw starting jungle items.

However, this restriction is lifted if players fully grow their jungle pet or upgrade their support item to its final form.

Voidgrubs

Voidgrub Death Buff: Upon death, remaining Voidgrubs now receive a 30% maximum and missing health heal that decays over 10 seconds. Additionally, any excess healing temporarily increases their maximum health.

Furthermore, the Voidgrub buff visual effects will now persist throughout the entire duration of the buff.

Quality of Life Changes on League of Legends Patch 14.6

  • Rift Herald will now move in the direction of the cursor without needing a right-click.
  • Fixed a bug where Volibear's W could apply a mark and heal through Jax's Counter Strike.
  • Diana's E now consistently resets as intended.Diana's initial W shield now has the correct duration.
  • Vayne's Q animation no longer stutters when used during her R.
  • Cloud and ocean soul effects now persist through revival effects.
  • Urgot's W now properly applies spell effects.
  • Twisted Fate's recall or Hexgate channel no longer cancels if he locks in a card during his W shuffle.
  • Rengar's Q now applies spell effects when leaping from a bush.
  • Shyvana's Q no longer consumes 2 stacks of Hail of Blades.
  • Chemtech terrain plants no longer spawn on top of each other.
  • Azir no longer freezes during his E+Q combo animation.

Doran's item restrictions are a much-welcomed change, as the starting items usually provide more value compared to other items. So early laning phase and mid-game should be much smoother and less abusive from now on.
