League of Legends players have been eagerly anticipating the Skarner rework, which is a big update that promises to breathe new life into this long-neglected champion.
Despite encountering a few setbacks and delays along the way, the rework is finally on the horizon, sparking excitement among fans. So let's delve into what Riot has in store for our beloved scorpion.
When is the reworked Skarner getting released?
League of Legends players can anticipate the debut of the reworked Skarner in patch 14.7, scheduled for release on April 3, 2024.
All of the Reworked Skarner's Abilities Explained
Here are all the reworked abilities explained:
Skarner's Passive: Threads of Vibration
Skarner's auto-attacks,Shattered Earth (Q), Upheaval (Q), and Impale (R), apply "Quaking" to enemies. It can stack up to three times. Enemies with three stacks of Quaking take %b of their maximum HP damage over time.
Skarner's Q: Shattered Earth/Upheaval
His Q now has two parts:
- Skarner rips the earth and picks up a boulder that empowers his next 3 attacks, doing AoE damage. The third attack will slow enemies and do extra damage.
- Players can press Q again to throw that boulder at enemies as a projectile.
Skarner's W: Seismic Bastion
His new W ability deals damage in a wide area around him and grants a shield, similar to the previous version of his W ability, Crystalline Exoskeleton.
Skarner's E: Ixtal's Impact
His E now allows him to pass through walls. This unique skill enables him to swiftly navigate the terrain, closing the gap between himself and his target. He then grabs the first enemy, or large monster, he collides with. He then carries them away a short distance and stuns them if they collide with a wall or terrain.
Skarner's R: Impale
Skarner now has up to three enemies. He damages them and suppresses them. He then gains movement speed for a short time and drags the enemies along until this effect lasts. However, unlike his previous ult, this reworked ult can miss its target, and if someone cleanses this ult, they take half the damage.
These updates to Skarner look too exciting, and we can't wait to try the new Skarner out. Luckily for PBE (public beta environment) users, they can try Skarner out earlier during patch 14.6 before it hits live servers.
