Seraphine has been a menace in the bottom lane and players have had enough. So Riot Games is making critical changes and giving Seraphine a much-needed makeover. 

As League of Legends Patch 14.4 went live recently, PBE or Public Beta Environment (a server for testing League of Legends) received patch 14.5, which includes some highly anticipated and necessary changes. With bottom-laners constantly complaining about Seraphine the developers couldn't help but address them.

The problem with Seraphine is that she is a super annoying champion to deal with. Her kit not only makes her a great support, but it also allows her to dish out damage like crazy.

So she needed to be brought down by a few notches without making her completely useless and that is what the developers at Riot tried to do with these changes.

Seraphine's Updated Kit and Stats

Here's what Seraphine's kit looks like now:

Base Stats:

  • Seraphine's mana growth halved from 50 to 25
  • Her mana regen growth doubled to 0.95 from 0.4
  • Her base AD was lowered to 50 from 55
  • Her base movement speed received a buff from 325 to 330

Passive: Stage Presence

  • Its damage per note is now 4-25 linear
  • Its AP Scaling was lowered from 5% to 4%
  • The damage dealt to minions is now 1x instead of 3x

Seraphine's Q: High Note

  • High Note's base damage went from 55/80/105/130/155 >>> 60/85/110/135/160
  • Its missing health amplification is now 1.6x instead of 1.5x
  • The cooldown is got changed from 65/70/75/80/85 >>> 60/70/80/90/100
  • High Note's mana cost increased from 65/70/75/80/85 >>> 60/70/80/90/100 
  • Its missile speed is now 1300 instead of 1200

Seraphine's W: Surround Sound 

  • Surround Sound's shield went from 50/75/100/125/150 >>> 60/85/110/135/160
  • Its movement speed AP Scaling went from 4% to 2%
  • Its cooldown is now 22/21/20/19/18 seconds instead of 28/25/22/19/16 seconds  
  • Its mana cost got lowered from 80/85/90/95/100 >>> 70/75/80/85/90

Seraphine's E: Beat Drop 

  • Beat Drop's Damage increased from 60/95/130/165/200 +35% AP >>> 70/100/130/160/190 +50% AP
  • Its CC Duration has been changed from 1.25 seconds to 1.1/1.2/1.3/1.4/1.5 seconds
  • The minion damage got lowered from x1.0 to x0.7
  • Its cooldown went from 10 seconds to 11/10.5/10/9.5/9 seconds
  • Lastly, its mana cost is 60 instead of: 60/65/70/75/80

Seraphine's R: Encore 

  • Encore's AP scaling was lowered from 60% >>> 40%
  • Its cooldown went from 160/130/100 seconds >>> 160/140/120 seconds

With so many changes made to her entire kit, we hope that Seraphine is balanced now. Since players can try her out in PBE, we can assume that Riot will make further changes based on the testing feedback in the form of hotfixes.
