Rainbow Six Siege Operation Deadly Omen is set to be released on March 12, 2024, according to Ubisoft. And with it comes massive changes to the game's meta with updated mechanics, new maps, and a new dark and villainous operative with a very appropriate name - Deimos. Here's what we know about him so far.
His real name is Gerald Morris and he was a former Rainbow operative. His character was designed by taking inspiration from Bass Reeves, an ex-slave who eventually became a US Marshal with proficiency in firearms.
As far as his background goes, Deimos was the mastermind behind the entire conflict between the Rainbow and Nighthaven. It was revealed that he was the assassin who took down Masayuki Yahata.

Death Mark Trackers
The Death Mark Trackers are exclusive to Deimos only. They are nano helicopters that can seek out and track defending operators that were previously spotted by him or his teammates.
Deimos can have up to 3 trackers over time. When he deploys any of his trackers, everyone gets alerted. This gives the defenders a chance to prepare.
These trackers will actively search and track defenders and will continue to do so until:
- they expire
- Deimos is killed
- the target is killed
Deimos' Weapon Loadout
Deimos uses:
- AK-74M assault rifle
- M590A1 shotgun
- 44 Vendetta revolver
- Frag grenades
- Secondary hard breach charges
Deimos loves to use the AK--74M or M590A1 shotgun as his primary weapon. The AK74M has a large magazine that allows him to spray bullets for long-range fights, whereas the shotgun is for close-range fights.
However, his secondary weapon, the 44 Vendetta revolver is his signature weapon that can take down enemies in just 2 shots.
His other loadout items include frag grenades and hard breach charges that make him an excellent hunter and allow an aggressive playstyle that matches his character.
Given his background aggressive playstyle and villainous past, Demios is very likely to become a fan-favourite operator this season. If you are as impatient as we are, then you can test him out in the Test servers next week.
