General Du Couteau is one of the most enigmatic characters in League of Legends universe and a recent comic gave us a first look at the legend himself.
League of Legends champions share various bonds, including those of the bloodlines, even when they don't seem likely.
Katarina and Cassiopeia are one such example and while their parents aren't in the habit of creating mutants, the latter's appearance is a result of trying to acquire the secrets of ascending in Shurima.
Riot Games never gave their parents an official appearance in the game but Marcus Du Couteau, the duo's father, was a mysterious figure that was known to the fans for well over a decade now, albeit only through mentions.
He is also the adoptive father of Talon, which is reflected in the Katarina comics that serve as the prequel to The Mageseeker, the upcoming Riot Forge title.
The comics also reveal what really happened to Jarvan III. We already knew he is dead and that his crown serves as Sion's lower jaw but Riot never elaborated on the circumstances of his demise until now.
Now it remains to be seen whether the hype train picks up again and stays strong enough to finally see Du Couteau introduced to the Summoner's Rift.
