Respawn will be rolling out a new patch for Titanfall 2 on 27 June. The patch will bring two maps and a tertiary weapon. The mode known as Titan Brawl received a slight tweak and will become permanent.
Scarce details about the latest patch are the result of Respawn's decision not to reveal them until we are "closer to launch". The launch is going to happen on 27 June so we won't have to wait super long. We know that the additions such as a pair of maps and a change to the number of weapons players can carry are on their way.
First off, your Pilot will have the ability to walk around with three weapons: a primary, secondary, and an anti-Titan weapon. Pilot execution called Shadow Boxing is also coming.
Let's talk about the maps. One of the two incoming maps is named War Games, and it's eerily similar to the DLC map from the original game. It's a simulation of a city with vibrantly coloured walls and barriers.
The official description had this to say: "War Games highlights the civilian shops, tall buildings for window-to-window fighting, and city streets for Titan combat from the Battle of Angel City, and the large, open tank garage facilities for hand-to-hand Pilot combat from the Battle of Airbase Sierra. The outskirts of the map feature a clean, VR style perfect for Titan duels, while Pilots are often found running along the bright, interconnected wallrunning routes."
The second map is called Traffic. This one is meant for the Live Fire mode. The official description said: "weathered test site where pilot positioning is pitted against mobility across two busy thoroughfares. Dense cover makes every corner a threat, with room for snipers to hide in the back fields".
Titan Brawl has now been changed to display Titan damage, and it's being added as a permanent mode. Free Agents will become the new featured mode. More details will be known when Respawn decides the launch day is close enough.
