Respawn, the developers behind Titanfall 2 have announced new Titans and maps coming our way soon. No specific release date was given, but the new content is expected to roll out between April and June.
Titanfall 2 launched nearly half a year ago and has had a constant pour in of new content ranging from maps and titan kits to fresh modes and map remakes ever since. The latest free DLC brought the 6v6 Live Fire mode inspired by the speedball matches in paintball. Since then, we have been waiting for the news on what's next for the shooter.
Recently, we got the word on how the next few months will look like for the world of Titanfall 2. A whole host of new content will be dropping between April and June and the developer has confirmed the following:
- 2 more general multiplayer maps
- 2 more Live Fire Maps
- A new Titan
- Two more purchasable Prime Titans: Ronin and Tone.
The maps coming in the near future are named Gulch and Relic. Live Fire mode is getting two maps of its own - Traffic and Deck. A new Titan is also about to join the fight, but the studio stayed awfully quiet when it comes to who it'll be.
Those have been the bigger chunks of content coming our way soon.
Now for the rest of the updates. The private match settings will be expanded to feature Live Fire and Coliseum as selectable modes. Gen level cap will see an increase to 100, and a new faction will be added.
The "Marked for Death" game mode will also launch before June rolls around. Estimated wait time, among other related features, will be addressed in the matchmaking realm. Lastly, if you're sick of the same old third person executions your pilot performs, we have good news for you. More pilot executions are coming very soon. Other minor updates to come include some cosmetic items.
A Glitch in the Frontier, the latest free DLC pack will launch on 25 April.
