Yesterday, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare received another major update which introduced a crossbow, additional loadout slots and fresh batch of bugs.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has received plenty of updates since it's release in October 2019. Infinity Ward added new maps, weapons, game modes and much more but sadly, some of these updates also introduced bugs and glitches that can ruin the experience for many players.

Another major update dropped yesterday, adding crossbow and additional loadout slots, which are certainly welcomed additions. However, the 50 GB update also introduced a fresh batch of bugs and judging by reports over at Reddit, it could be the worst update yet in terms of new issues.

One reports that the singleplayer campaign is completely broken after the latest update. As you can see from the screenshot below, the game does not render characters in the campaign anymore. A truly frustrating thing to see but other players have even bigger issues.

According to , after the new update, an error has popped up with a message that states the following: "Your data is corrupt or didn't download properly, you must reset your rank and unlocks to continue." This is one of those things you certainly do not want to see after spending hundreds of hours grinding for new items.

Luckily, but if players clicked "Yes" in the meantime, their combat record, leaderboards, custom classes, and Operators were reset.

"We’re actively working on a fix for this, but do not have one to deploy tonight. You are still able to play the game as usual and your progression will still track, but please be aware that once we do have a fix, we may have to roll back your stats to the state they were in prior to today’s update," Infinity Ward wrote in a blog post.

All in all, you probably want to stay away from Modern Warfare until Infinity Ward deploy fixes for the new bugs. Otherwise, you could lose your stats which means no more showing off with your impressive K/D ratio.
