Ember Lab may have delayed Kena: Bridge of Spirits yet again even though there is currently no official announcement.
Combination of Covid-19 restrictions and other development issues seem to have struck again at Ember Lab. Their PlayStation exclusive, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, was initially meant to be released during the holiday season of 2020 but the developers pushed it back to Q1 2021. Now it appears that will not be the final release window either.
If you check the PlayStation console exclusive section on the PS store games page, you can see several games tied to PS4 and PS5 systems, each of them with either a release date or release window. This part of the store now states Kena: Bridge of Spirits will be released during Q4 2021, which is just one quarter less than being pushed back by an entire year.
Kena's own store page shows neither Q1 nor Q4 2021 as release windows which is more of a pointer towards the latter being true.
Ember Lab did not speak on the topic yet so nothing is official for the time being but if you're looking to go through a gorgeous adventure on PlayStation 5, you may want to check out some of the platform's other offerings in the meantime.
In case the store pages linked above get updated with info not in sync with this article, you can check out Spieltimes' screenshots of the situation.
