Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition (January 15)

January launches with a Switch 2 edition of Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons. One of the most successful games of its predecessor’s life cycle, the Switch 2 port of the island-building simulation game brings with it technical upgrades that enhance the performance and visuals of the Switch’s original iteration.

Mio: Memories in Orbit (January 20)

Metroidvanias continue to find success on Nintendo consoles, and Mio: Memories in Orbit is looking to be no exception. Having gorgeous visuals and exploration-based gameplay, this is a game that is sure to become a hit with fans of narrative-action platformers.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins (January 22)

Expanded battlefields, denser enemy populations, and newly modernised mechanics are at the heart of Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors: Origins. This third-person strategy game is a shining example of what Switch 2 can do with bigger-budget, more intensive action titles.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade (January 22)

The biggest third-party game of the month, Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade finally makes its debut on Nintendo hardware this January. The Switch 2 version of the title offers up visual upgrades and additional story content.

Dispatch (January 28)
