Nintendo concluded its latest Partner Showcase with a bombshell reveal of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on Nintendo Switch 2. The action-adventure game from MachineGames is making its way to Nintendo’s upcoming console, launching on 12 May.
Fans can play Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC already. However, the Switch 2 version allows more players to experience the critically acclaimed adventure game.
Bethesda and Todd Howard made the announcement at the showcase, marking one of the event’s biggest reveals. Featuring film-like visuals and adventuresome gameplay, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle feels like a perfect Switch 2 title for Nintendo’s next-gen console.
A New Indiana Jones Story
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle bridges between Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade in this brand new adventure. Indy finds himself right in the middle of a worldwide mystery once again as he tries to stop Nazis from uncovering the mysteries of the Great Circle.
What we know about the story so far:
- Travels across the world to several well-known landmarks
- Villainous Nazis led by Emmerich Voss
- Licensed likeness of Harrison Ford with Troy Baker voicing Jones
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle focuses on exploration and a race against time.
Gameplay Overview
Indy swings through environments that you experience mostly from a first-person perspective. Although it’s an action-adventure, don’t expect nonstop shooting. Instead, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle focuses on action, stealth, and exploration.
You’ll see some third-person gameplay when swinging around to get across gaps or during cutscenes. This includes:
- Lootable distractions and stealth-focused puzzles
- Melee combat and Jones’ trusty whip
- Swinging across gaps in ancient ruins
- Exploring dangerous temples
Nintendo Switch 2 Release Date
