Jyamma Games, the developer of the upcoming souls-like Enotria: The Last Song have delayed the Xbox release as Microsoft never game them the green to put the game on the Xbox storefront.

Enotria: The Last Song has been delayed indefinitely on the Xbox Series X|S consoles, developer and publisher Jyamma Games announced. This Italian folklore-inspired indie souls-like is hitting the shelves for PC and PlayStation 5 on September 19, 2024, which was also supposed to be the launch date for the Xbox version, but due to problems with the game's listing on the Xbox storefront, the team didn't have the choice but to delay the release.

The dev team are very critical of Microsoft, stating that no one from the company has replied to their emails when they have the game pretty much ready for submission.

"We believe that Xbox is blessed with a huge gaming community and we would love to release Enotria on your platform as fast as possible, as we spent a lot of money and resources to make it happen, but this task is nearly impossible with Microsoft taking months to reply to us when we have the game ready for submission," Jyamma Games wrote on social media X.

At the time of writing this article, no one from Microsoft responded to the statement from Jyamma Games nor did provide reassurance that Entoria: The Last Song would be added and approved on the Xbox store, allowing the game to launch on time.

It's certainly a shame that even more games are skipping the Xbox platform, following the most recent example of the record-breaking release of Black Myth: Wukong, which launched on PC and PS5 only.

And with Xbox's first-party titles now going to PlayStation 5, Xbox fans will certainly start to wonder if there's any point in owning an Xbox console anymore, apart from the great deal that is Game Pass.

Hopefully, Microsoft and Jyamma Games will find a solution to the problem soon, so Enotria also becomes available to those who own Xbox Series X|S hardware.
