However, those challenges now seem like distant memories, as the game has overcome most server issues and continues to exceed sales expectations. Arrowhead Studio's commitment to consistently delivering new content has kept Helldivers 2 engaging and exciting for both casual and dedicated players alike.
The latest update for Helldivers 2 has been posted on the game's Steam hub, outlining various changes implemented in the patch. The most significant adjustment is the rebalancing of planetary hazards, with tremors, meteor showers, volcanic activity, fire tornadoes, and ion storms spawning less frequently.
Meteor showers, in particular, have received further tweaks, including reduced explosion radius and velocity, as well as a change in colour for improved visibility. Additionally, fixes have been made to prevent patrols from spawning on top of players and to ensure that Exosuits no longer self-destruct when firing missiles while turning.

Balancing
- Balanced and adjusted spawn rates for the various planet hazards, including tremors, meteor showers, volcanic activity, fire tornadoes, and ion storms.
- Hazards should now spawn less frequently during missions.
- Meteor Shower has received the following changes in addition to a reduced spawn rate
- Reduced explosion radius
- Reduced meteor damage slightly
- Reduced meteor velocity slightly
- The meteor colour has been changed slightly to try and make it easier to spot.
- Volcanic activity has undergone the following changes in addition to reduced spawn rate
- Reduced explosion radius
- Reduced rock velocity slightly
- lighting on Fenrir III has been adjusted to be a bit less bright to improve visibility during meteor showers
Other fixes
- The frequency of patrols spawning on players has been reduced.
- The Exosuit will no longer self-destruct when firing a missile while turning.
- The Exosuit's melee functionality remains intact even when damaged.
- Problems when ALT+Tabbing in fullscreen mode.
- Errors that occur after changing the voice over language.
- A boot issue on PS5.
- Using a stim inside an Exosuit while wielding a grenade.
- Joining an ongoing mission.Idling on the title screen.
- Shots fired from arc-based weapons, like the 'Blitzer' shotgun and 'AC-8 Arc Thrower' stratagem, are now counted accurately in stats.
- A network desync issue with downed Automaton dropships has been resolved.
- Support for Elgato Stream Deck Foot Pedal has been fixed.
As the player base of Helldivers 2 continues to grow, it's essential for Arrowhead Game Studios to maintain the momentum with ongoing fixes and updates.
