Patch 1.000.302 for Helldivers 2 corrects a bug where only the host could reliably apply DoT (Damage over Time) effects, and it also fixes other inconsistencies in the game.

As things are starting to calm down after the recent drama between Sony and the Helldivers 2 Steam community, Arrowhead released Patch 1.000.302 on all platforms.

This update finally resolves an issue where only the host could consistently apply DoT (Damage over Time) effects, addressing other instances of inconsistent application. Besides this, even though this patch didn't introduce anything new to the game, it made several critical gameplay changes, as well as weapons adjustments, crash fixes, and more.

All the highlights from Helldivers Patch 1.000.302

Weapon Changes

The R-9 Eruptor:

  • Increased explosion damage by 40 and removed shrapnel from the blast
  • This adjustment prevents situations where players could accidentally one-shot themselves or teammates within a large radius of the explosion

Enemies

  • Shrieker's sight and hearing range have been slightly increased
  • Gunship's hearing range has also been slightly increased

Gameplay Fixes

  • We've corrected issues with Damage-over-Time effects, resolving a problem where only the network session owner could apply them and addressing other cases of inconsistent application.
  • Firing the Punisher Plasma while wearing a shield backpack no longer damages the Helldiver.
  • Fixed the misalignment of some weapon scopes in First-Person-View.
  • The sound effect for stimming no longer plays if the action is interrupted.
  • Major orders with the "Kill task" now track the score correctly. Previously, the entire squad's kills were counted for each player, causing the score to be multiplied by the number of people in the mission; this has been fixed.
  • Helldivers can no longer land on tall rocks in "Horde Defend Missions."
  • Helldivers can no longer land on top of bug pillars in "Deactivate Terminid Control System" missions.
  • Fixed an issue where the reinforce stratagem would disappear if a Helldiver left the session before readying up and then hot-joined the active session.
