Arrowhead Game Studios has recently released the latest update for Helldivers 2, focusing primarily on rectifying significant issues within the game rather than introducing new content.

A notable concern among players since the game's launch has been inconsistent weapon damage, particularly noticeable in cross-platform matches where PC players were dealing significantly more damage than their console counterparts. Patch 01.000.203 addresses this disparity, ensuring uniform damage numbers across all platforms.

Additionally, the update includes fixes for various crashing and bug issues. Below are the comprehensive patch notes for version 01.000.203 of Helldivers 2.

In addition to addressing the damage gap between console and PC players, patch 01.000.203 is reverting the incorrect perk listing for the CE-27 Ground Breaker armour, which was originally stated to have the Engineering Kit perk but actually had Servo-Assisted.

The update also includes numerous bug fixes, primarily focused on resolving the frequent crashing issues that have occurred in recent weeks. Below is a list of crashes and other fixes made to this patch:

  • Crashes in the loadout screen when players left or joined the game have been resolved.
  • Crashes after extraction during mission results display have been fixed.
  • A crash related to throwing back grenades while holding a heat-based weapon has been addressed.
  • Crashing when a host's play session migrates to another player has been fixed.
  • Crashing due to excessive civilian spawning has been resolved.
  • Various other crash scenarios during mission deployment and gameplay have been fixed.
  • An issue causing different damage to enemies between PC and console players has been resolved.
  • Red boxes in defence missions are no longer visible.
  • Text display issues with major orders have been corrected.

  • Friend requests cannot be accepted if the requesting player changed their username before the request was accepted.
  • Cross-platform friend invites might not appear in the Friend Requests tab.
  • Players cannot unfriend others who were added via friend code.
  • Players cannot unblock individuals not previously on their Friends list.
  • Damage-over-time effects may only apply when initiated by the host.
  • Players may experience delays in receiving medals and Super Credit payouts.
  • Enemies that bleed out do not contribute to personal Orders and Eradicate missions.
  • Certain weapons, like the Sickle cannot shoot through foliage.
  • Scopes on some weapons, such as the Anti-Material Rifle, may be slightly misaligned.
  • Arc weapons may behave inconsistently or misfire.
  • Targeting with the Spear is inconsistent, especially when locking onto larger enemies.
  • Stratagem beams may attach to an enemy but deploy to their original location.

These problems have arisen either due to the latest patch and are currently being worked on, or they have existed in previous versions and have yet to be resolved. This compilation is not comprehensive, and we are actively addressing issues based on feedback, reports, severity, and other factors.
