Halo Infinite does not reward enough XP, players complain, which makes the Battle Pass progression an unsatisfying experience.

You can download and play Halo Infinite free-to-play Multiplayer right now across all platforms. The game officially launched last night during the Xbox 20th anniversary stream and includes all maps, core game modes and full battle pass, which has been subject of some criticism from players.

Halo Infinite's battle pass progression system is simply too slow for the majority of players who dived into 343's new shooter. For example, some players spent over ten hours with the game, only to unlock four tiers of battle pass.

We also spent some time with the game, clocking around 3 hours, which was enough to unlock only one battle pass tier and start the second one. Halo Infinite's progression system is certainly far from being an enjoyable experience at the moment.

You may ask why is Halo Infinite having this problem? Well, the game does not reward XP for playing matches. Instead, its progression is challenge-based which means you need to complete challenges to unlock battle pass items. That's basically, the only way you can progress in Halo Infinite.

Of course, this is completely absurd since you can absolutely dominate in one match with 50+ kills without getting any XP.

Since the Halo community is pretty vocal about this issue, we expect to hear an official comment from 343 Industries very soon.

The community already pointed out during the flights that the lack of match-based XP will be an issue, which turned out to be true, but 343 did not make any changes to the system so far.

Hopefully, we'll get an update regarding this sooner rather than later.
