Grand Theft Auto 6 is ramping up to its next phase. Rockstar Games has announced that preorders for the upcoming game will be available starting June 25, when fans will be able to officially secure their copy of GTA 6 for the first time.
Rockstar has also revealed the cover art for the game, granting fans another look at Jason and Lucia before they head back to Vice City this fall. While we know when preorders for Grand Theft Auto 6 will open, Rockstar hasn’t shared any information about the game’s pricing, editions, or when preorders will officially open.
Players can wishlist GTA 6 on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S already to get notified when preorders do open. No pricing has also been Rockstet’s biggest secret about Grand Theft Auto 6.
Fans are curious to know if Rockstar and parent company Take-Two will continue pricing their standard edition games at $70, or if they’ll boost the game’s launch price even higher.
Multiple outlets have floated a higher-priced GTA 6 in the months leading up to its release. In fact, Bank of America analysts predicted an $80 price would allow Rockstar to set a new standard for game pricing and force other publishers to follow suit.
Rockstar has also left many wondering what kind of editions we can expect from GTA 6. As is typical with most Rockstar releases, there’s sure to be multiple editions of the game featuring digital bonuses, physical goodies, early access to the title, and other in-game bonuses.
June 25 marks another big step towards Grand Theft Auto 6’s November 19 release. After what felt like months of little to no news, Rockstar’s recent output of information shows they’re finally cranking up the marketing machines. From a second trailer, new artwork, to now preorders, GTA 6 is beginning to feel real.
