Greedfall, Spiders' upcoming RPG has a new gameplay trailer, in which, the devs have detailed some of the RPG features like character creation, skill tree, dialogue and more. The trailer also shows how player choices will affect the story.
Spiders' RPG Greedfall is just around the corner and to build up the hype for the launch of their title, the devs have shared a new lengthy gameplay video, showcasing some of the game's features like character creation, skill tree, combat and more.
According to the developers, creating your unique character and picking your starting skills, attributes and talents is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to your path on the Teer Frade Island.
You can choose to specialise in one skill tree or be a jack-of-all-trades and invest points in each skill tree branch. Furthermore, being an RPG, Greedfall has a deep crafting system, which will allow players to customise equipment, tailor their look and stats to suit their playstyle. Judging by the trailer, you'll have a ton of options to make your character to your liking by changing the colours of your armour and more.
When it comes to combat, players can choose to approach it in several ways. Charging at enemies with heavy weapons, use light weapons to parry and counter-attack, or control the area with traps and magic.
Greedfall will also feature a tactical pause menu, allowing you to choose your next move more strategically. As for the party, you can invite up to three people into battle. Your relationship with these characters can change, depending on your dialogue choices. Say or do the wrong thing and their loyalty to you will slowly start to dissipate.
Speaking about dialogue choices and decisions, these will shape the future of the island so think twice before you decide to support a certain faction. Greedfall will also offer you diplomatic talents, that you can use in your negotiations with the powerful elite.
