The Tehnomancer creators Spiders and the publisher Focus Home Interactive have announced a release date for their upcoming action RPG Greedfall. The game will launch on 10 September 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Along with the announcement, we also got a brand new trailer, which showcases some of the game's features such as combat mechanics, characters and customisation elements.
The trailer also emphasises the game's open world and several locations like dense cities, forests and underground caves. For some reason, Greedfall really looks like a combination of Assassin's Creed, The Witcher 3 and Dark Souls, which is, of course, a good thing. Let's hope it also plays that way.
The developer Spiders say that player freedom is the key in Greedfall. Apparently, players will be able to build friendships, break alliances, diffuse conflicts and shape the future of the Teer Fradee island.
You'll also meet various factions in your playthrough, one of them is the colonists, while the other one is the native tribe that is fighting for their liberty. Choosing who to support will be one of the key moments in the game as every action, dialogue option or even the choice of the companion in some situations can have consequences.
In the game's official description on Steam, it's mentioned that players will also use diplomacy to shape Greedfall's world. Judging by the info from the devs, Greedfall could have a lot of different elements that players will be able to use to shape the story to their liking.
"Engage in a core roleplaying experience, and forge the destiny of a new world seeping with magic, and filled with riches, lost secrets, and fantastic creatures. With diplomacy, deception and force, become part of a living, evolving world - influence its course and shape your story," It's written on Steam.

Greedfall is also up for pre-order on Steam and it costs $49,99, but like always, wait for reviews.
