Ghost Recon Breakpoint is taking a huge step away from the MilSim roots of the series by adopting some RPG elements such as gear tiers. With tiered loot come the raids and Ubisoft offered some information on the first one - Project Titan.
Ghost Recon fans are likely not thrilled that Breakpoint is adopting so many elements previously seen in The Division series but they are here anyway. Ubisoft recently revealed their content plans for the first year which will bring three expansions and the raid will be a part of the first content drop.
This possibly biggest piece of free content coming to Breakpoint will be called Project Titan . Unlike The Division 2, Breakpoint will not change the fireteam size. Players will still go in with four Ghosts in total and the raid will be located in an apparently completely new section of the Auroa island.
One interesting tidbit is that there is an active volcano mentioned as one of the features which could mean the raid has a timer which could add to the intensity of the experience. We will have to wait and see if this actually turns out to be the case and if it does - whether it will be a change for better or worse.
Ubisoft stated this co-op experience will require more communication between the players, which sounds awfully similar to the narrative before The Division 2's raid came out, hinting that Breakpoint may take cues from the Washington based looter shooter.
Unlike The Division 2, however, Breakpoint may be up to a different approach when it comes to balancing the raid. Ubisoft said that Project Titan will be adapted to fit various playstyles which probably means it doesn't matter whether players will be using the most effective tactics available or going in with four snipers.
Another interpretation is that this could mean adjustments to difficulty on consoles, which was one of the major problems The Division 2's raid had. PC Players cleared Dark Hours in just over five hours while the console teams' first completion came days later.
