Genshin Impact Sumeru trailer features new playable characters that are arriving with update 3.0

HoYoverse have released a brand new trailer for Genshin Impact's 3.0 update which brings new region and playable characters.

As we're waiting for the official announcement for Genshin Impact 3.0 live stream, HoYoverse have released a brand new trailer for the Sumeru region and its new characters, that are coming in the update 3.0.

The promotional video mostly focuses on the new characters and it's made entirely in the anime style, without any gameplay or in-game footage.  Tighnari, Collei, Alhaitham, Traveler - Aether, Paimon, Dori, Cyno Dehya, Nilou and Nahida all appear in the trailer.

With the promo trailer now out, it's only a matter of time before HoYoverse finally give us the confirmation for the live stream date and time.

If the live stream is being aired tomorrow - August 12, then we should be getting the announcement today but if the rumours are true, and the live stream is being aired on August 13, then the announcement is probably coming tomorrow.

Of course, this is just educated guessing and nothing more since HoYoverse are still keeping their cards close to their chest. Genshin Impact 3.0 update is expected to launch later this month, potentially on August 24, 2022, according to insiders.

Genshin Impact 3.0 will be one of the biggest, if not the biggest update that HoYoverse ever released for their globally popular MMORPG. It's bringing new characters, a new region and countless activities and quests for players to complete.

After the update 3.0 is finally out, HoYoverse will be focusing on 3.1 beta, which is introducing a new four-star female character Candence.

All in all, Genshin Impact players will certainly be happy with HoYoverse and the steady rollout of fresh content. Genshin Impact is available now on PC , PlayStation 4 , PlayStation 5 and mobile.

Nintendo Switch and Xbox versions are yet to be announced.
