Hoyoverse's global phenomenon Genshin Impact has today received another major patch across all platforms. The Patch version 4.4 is quite a large one so HoYoverse released it in two phases.
In fact, there is so much to do in this patch it's almost unbelievable. This patch contains a new character, 2 new enemies, new areas to explore, new storylines as well as a ton of quests. If this doesn't get you excited then we don't know what will!
So without further ado, let's dive into details and see what this patch is all about!
Genshin Impact Patch 4.4 Phase 1: Event Wishes
Phase 1 brings Xianyun and Nahida as 5-star banners and a third new character Gaming as a 4-star. Gaming will appear in "The Moongrass Enlightenment" and "The Crane Soars Skyward" with massive drop-rate boosts.
Gaming's weapon, Elemental Skill, and bursts
Gaming's main Weapon is the Claymore.
His Elemental Skill is Bestial Ascent.
His Elemental Burst is Suanni's Gilded Dance.
Genshin Impact Patch 4.4 Phase 2: Event Wishes
Phase 2 brings Xiao and Yae Miko as 5-star banners.
Patch 4.4 New Area and Boss
Chenyu Vale is the new area players will unlock in patch 4.4 which is an expansion of the Liyue area. It is a mesmerizing mountainous region with stunning visuals, hidden villages, deep lore, and history. It is also the place where the new character Gaming was born and raised.
There are two key locations here:
- Qiaoying Village
- Yilong Wharf
There are also 3 major landmarks:
- Chizhang Wall
- Mt. Lingmeng
- Yaodie Valley
Patch 4.4 New Boss
With a new era comes a new boss. This time it is Solitary Suanni, a majestic and mythical creature that wanders around the valleys of Chenyu Vale. But don't be fooled by his calm composure and serene outlook, he is a dangerous opponent, one you should take preparations for!
Another new enemy introduced in this patch is Xuawen Beast.
Patch 4.4 New Weapons and Outfits
The new weapon for this patch is called Crane's Echoing Call: a 5-star catalyst. When the character equipped with it damages an opponent with any Plunging Attack then the plunging attacks from other members of the party deal an additional 28% damage for 20 seconds. It also grants the equipped character 2.5 energy regeneration even outside the field.
The recipients of the new outfit are:
- Ganyu obtains the Twilight Blossom Outfit
- Shenhe obtains the Frostflower Dew Outfit
- Xingqiu obtains the Bamboo Rain Outfit
Patch 4.4 New Main Story and Quests
The new main story quest is Xianyun's. It's called Grus Serena Chapter, Act 1 "A Thousand Moonlit Miles".
The new world quests added to patch 4.4 are:
- "A Wangshan Walk to Remember"
- "Chenyu's Blessings of Sunken Jade"
- "Chili Con Cloudy"
- "Our Chenyu Vale Trek"
- "Qiaoying, the Village of Many Tales"
- "Scrolls and Sword Manuals of Guhua"
- "Shrouded Vale, Hidden Hero"
- "Temporary Acclimatization"
- "The Cloud-Padded Path to the Chiwang Repose"
- "Threefold Expectations"
As you can see there are so many things to do this patch, but here's the kicker! There's much more going on at Genshin currently (Mainly regular and lunar events) so be sure to log in every day and claim the rewards for daily objectives before time runs out and start grinding!
