Globally popular MMO Genshin Impact is about to get update version 4.5 on March 13, 2024, it's been confirmed by the game's developer Hoyoverse.
This exciting major update is introducing new characters, weapons, and locations among other things. The update will roll out in several phases, with the Phase One kicking off with four major events and today Hoyoverse gave us a detailed look at these new events and what they bring.
There are various drop-rate boosts, exclusive trial events, limited-time weapon offers and other benefits that players will get to enjoy and we've made an easy breakdown of all of these in the article below.

Character Event Wish: Of Silken Clouds Woven
Event Wish Details:
- A significant drop-rate boost will be granted to the event-exclusive 5-star character "The Thundering Seamstress" Chiori (Geo) during this event wish.
- A huge drop-rate boost will be granted to the 4-star characters "Canine Warrior" Gorou (Geo), "Stage Lucida" Yun Jin (Geo), and "Treasure of Dream Garden" Dori (Electro) during this event wish.
- The character that is exclusive to the event will not be accessible through the standard wish "Wanderlust Invocation."
- This is for the "Character Event Wish." Character Event Wish and Character Event Wish-2 share the wish guarantee count, which is added up over time for both characters. The guarantee counts of other kinds of wishes have no bearing on this one.
- This event wish will include access to the "Test Run" trial event. To test them out, travelers can enter particular stages using fixed lineups that contain the chosen trial characters. The corresponding rewards will be awarded to travelers who successfully complete the challenges.

- The event-exclusive 5-star character "Hanamizaka Heroics," Arataki Itto (Geo), will experience a significant drop-rate boost during this event.
- The 4-star characters "Treasure of Dream Garden" Dori (Electro), "Stage Lucida" Yun Jin (Geo), and "Canine Warrior" Gorou (Geo) will receive a massive drop-rate boost during this event.
- The event-exclusive character among the aforementioned characters won't be accessible through the standard wish "Wanderlust Invocation."
- This relates to "Character Event Wish-2." Both "Character Event Wish" and "Character Event Wish-2" contribute to the wish guarantee count, which they both share. The guarantee count of this wish is unrelated to the guarantee counts of other wish categories.
- During this event, the "Test Run" trial event will be available. Travelers can test them out by entering designated stages using fixed lineups that contain the chosen trial characters. The rewards for completing the challenges are in store for travelers.

- The event-exclusive 5-star weapons Redhorn Stonethresher (Claymore) and Uraku Misugiri (Sword) will experience a significant drop-rate increase during this event!
- A significant drop-rate boost will be granted to the event-exclusive 4-star weapons The Alley Flash (Sword) and The Alley Hunter (Bow), in addition to the 4-star weapons The Bell (Claymore), Dragon's Bane (Polearm), and Favonius Codex (Catalyst)!
- Use Epitomized Path to steer toward a promotional 5-star weapon, like Redhorn Stonethresher (Claymore) or Uraku Misugiri (sword), during this event wish. Go to the Wish screen and select Details in the bottom-left corner to learn more about Epitomized Path.
- Not all of the aforementioned weapons will be available in the standard wish "Wanderlust Invocation." These weapons are event-exclusive.

Event Wish Details:
- In the "Ode to the Dawn Breeze" Event Wish of this time, you are able to freely choose and plot a path towards the boosted 5-star character or weapon of your choice among all 5-star items!
- During this event, the following will be available for a limited time: the event-exclusive 4-star weapons The Alley Flash (Sword), Wine and Song (Catalyst), Mitternachts Waltz (Bow), and Alley Hunter (Bow), as well as the event-exclusive 5-star characters "Dance of the Shimmering Wave" Eula (Cryo), "Kreideprinz" Albedo (Geo), and "Fleeing Sunlight" Klee (Pyro).
- This is in support of "Chronicled Wish." Only within "Chronicled Wish" is the wish guarantee count accrued; it is not correlated with the guarantee counts of other wish categories.
- 5-Star Characters: Albedo, Diluc, Eula, Jean, Klee, and Mona are the five-star characters.
- 5-Star Weapons: Skyward Pride, Skyward Spine, Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds, Skyward Atlas, Hunter's Path, Skyward Harp, Skyward Blade, Aquila Favonia, Beacon of the Reed Sea, Song of Broken Pines, and Wolf's Gravestone
- 4-Star Characters: Amber, Barbara, Bennett, Diona, Fischl, Kaeya, Lisa, Mika, Noelle, Razor, Rosaria, and Sucrose.
- 4-Star Weapons: Dragon's Bane, Wine and Song, Eye of Perception, Sacrificial Fragments, The Widsith, Favonius Codex, Mitternachts Waltz, Alley Hunter, Rust, Sacrificial Bow, The Stringless, and Favonius Warbow† Rainslasher, Sacrificial Greatsword, The Bell, Favonius Greatsword, and Favonius Lance
With all these events coming up, Genshin players will have a busy time grinding them out and unlocking so many epic characters and weapons. Things are definitely going to get hectic at Genshin Impact after such a long dry spell.
