Epic Games have rolled out the 7.20 content update for Fortnite: Battle Royale, which adds a new type of deployable/wearable item - sneaky snowmen, whereas quad rocket launchers, Port-A-Fortress and the grappler have all been vaulted.
Using primary fire throws a projectile that creates a sneaky snowman with 100 health points, which you can then wear for 100 shields by pressing secondary fire. Unfortunately for Fortnite's architects, entering building mode or using other items destroys it, so you either sneak or build.
Fortnite's snowmen drop in stacks of five, with a maximum stack size of 10, and can be found in floor loot, chests and supply lamas. Obviously, get ready for a bunch of trigger-happy snowmen.
Epic have brought back the Sniper Shootout limited time mode as well, which limits Fortnite's arsenal to scoped weapons only. This includes the recently added suppressed sniper rifles, as well as legendary scoped pistols, which have been added to supply drops.
Sniper Shootout comes with a 50 per cent reduction in floor loot spawns and the company reminded that reviving "Down But Not Out" teammates is deactivated.
Fortnite's 7.20 content update also vaulted quad rocket launchers, troublesome Port-A-Fortress deployables and the grappler, while swapping drop chances of shield potions and small shield potions. Chances for glider and balloon drops have been reduced a bit too.
Epic slashed the likelihood of quad crashers spawning by 50 per cent, while X-4 Stormwing's chances are down from 80 to 50 per cent. Obviously, it's time to take the foot of the gas and get into some snow sneaking.
Fortnite Creative has received a nice little arsenal with the latest update, with the patch notes listing LMGs, suppressed submachine guns, revolvers, semi-auto snipers, smoke grenades and remote explosives.
On the more competitive side of things, Epic added dates for Explorer Pop-Up Cup, while making sure that materials gained on elimination "now drop with the eliminated player, rather than being granted immediately."
