Forza Horizon maps have taken players all over the world throughout the continuation of the series. Based on real-life popularity and considering in-game factors, here are five perfect locations for Forza Horizon 6.

Forza Horizon is the most-played racing title in the world, with more than 34 million players across PC and Xbox consoles. Developed by Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios and published by Microsoft's Xbox Game Studios, the racing game series has taken players all over the world in its five iterations.

From the sun-kissed coasts of Nice in France and stunning hillsides of Great Britain to the amazing and diverse biomes of Australia and recently Mexico, the Forza Horizon franchise featured a diverse set of gorgeous maps that petrolheads explored to the tiniest corner.

With Forza Horizon 5 now probably heading towards the end of its live service cycle and Forza Horizon 6 expected to be announced soon, we decided to take a look at some of the real-life locations that would be a perfect fit for the next game, which is eagerly anticipated by the fans.

Five ideal locations for Forza Horizon 6

While picking a location for a Forza Horizon game, certain factors are necessary for enriching the player experience. An ideal location for a Forza Horizon game includes scenic views, map diversity, cultural aspects, unique landmarks, and track variations.

Keeping these aspects in consideration, we came up with these five countries that Playground Games could recreate for Forza Horizon 6.

Japan

Japan is an ideal location for a Forza Horizon game, and it has been widely requested by the player base since the release of Forza Horizon 4. Here are the best features of Japan:

  • Landscape Diversity: Japan features mountainous regions, coastal roads, and, most importantly, city life, which might be heavily inspired by the streets of Tokyo.
  • Cultural Aspects: Japan has an ancient cultural impact, which is visible through shrines and temples combined with Japan's modern architecture, making it the ideal spot for racing and in-game festival events.
  • Unique Landmarks: Japan has countless unique landmarks, such as the iconic Mount Fuji, Hokkaido prefecture, various castles and other historic landmarks.
  • Automobile Heritage: With brands like Toyota and Nissan, Japan is a reliable and respected name in the automotive industry.

Greece

Greece is one of the most beautiful places on earth, with stunning beaches but also massive rock formations and lush forests. Add the country's rich history, and it certainly checks off all the requirements for an ideal Forza Horizon map.

  • Landscape Diversity: Greece has a wide range of landscapes, starting with off-road trails, mountainous regions, and urban cities.
  • Cultural Aspects: Greece has a rich cultural heritage and a longstanding, vibrant local environment.

China

Another Asian favourite, China is a diverse country filled with scenic views and bustling streets. This large country also features some of the most recognisable historical landmarks in the world, like the Great Wall of China, while Shangai's futuristic architecture would certainly add another layer of diversity to the map.

  • Landscape Diversity: Scenes Variety includes winding country roads, mountain roads, urban streets, and historic landmarks.
  • Cultural Aspects: Filled with historical landmarks such as the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City, and countless temples.
  • Driving Variety: China has countless driving variation opportunities, starting from off-road trails, city streets, and forest trails.

Switzerland

Known as the playground of Europe, Switzerland is the go-to destination for ski enthusiasts. Cradled by the Alps, the peace capital of the world boasts unmatched natural beauty and roads filled with scenic views.

  • Landscape Diversity: Switzerland boasts picturesque alpine roads, rolling hills and serene lakeside roads.
  • Historical Landmark: There are countless castles, old towns and heritage sites such as the Matterhorn and Chapel Bridge.
  • Driving Variety: Switzerland also offers players the opportunity to zoom through forest trails and hilly terrain, providing a sublime off-road racing experience.

Scandinavia

Scandinavia, the trio of Denmark, Norway and Sweden, is a perfect match for Forza Horizon for its modern cities, scenic views and cultural heritage.

  • Landscape Variety:  Starting from the fjords of Norway to the serene forests of Sweden, and the coastal scenic roads of Denmark, Scandinavia is one of the most naturally diverse regions in the world.
  • Historical Landmarks: There are countless landmarks with Viking heritage. Moreover, there are many castles and strongholds left standing as remnants of the past.
  • Seasonal Changes: The dynamic weather of Scandinavia starts from snow-filled land to the unmatched greenery in summer.

While the Forza Horizon games have taken players to different countries worldwide, players still yearn for different locations that resonate with the spirit of the game and also bring the festival vibe to life.

If we had to guess the location of the next Forza game, we'd say Japan is probably a lock, considering the country's immense popularity among the player base. But Playground Games has not announced anything Forza Horizon 6-related so take this list just as fun predictions and nothing more.

Hopefully, Playground will share some official news on Forza Horizon 6 soon.
