Dead by Daylight has a few things going on right now, one of them being the Barbecue Event that is currently live, others being the long-awaited skins by Ikumi Nakamura and now the very exciting Alien chapter.
Just like every chapter, it features a themed killer, survivor and map and this time we get the Xenomorph and Ellen Ripley on the map called the Nostromo Wreckage which is themed by the original movie.
Even though Alien has its own game adaptation, getting one more wouldn't hurt. Already having a game of its own can avoid future issues that the Stranger Things chapter encountered and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre chapter might encounter soon.
Perk Overview
Rapid Brutality
Rapid Brutality takes away the killer's ability to gain bloodlust. Every time the killer successfully hits a survivor with a basic attack, he gains a 5% increased movement speed for 10 seconds.
Alien Instinct
In our opinion, Alien Instinct is the strongest of the Xenomorph's perks. Alien Instinct activates whenever a survivor gets hooked. Once the perk activates the aura of the furthest injured survivor is revealed to the killer for 5 seconds and that survivor suffers from obliviousness for 20 seconds.
Ultimate Weapon
His final perk plays around lockers and whenever the killer opens a locker, the perk activates and lasts for 30 seconds. During this time, any survivor that enters the killer's terror radius will suffer from blindness.
Power Overview
Hidden Pursuit
When the Xenomorph is in Trial, a series of tunnels are available to him, accessible from several Control Stations. The Auras of Control Stations are highlighted to The Xenomorph in white at all times.
By walking up to and accessing a Control Station, The Xenomorph can enter a tunnel system located beneath the Map and use it to quickly traverse it to emerge at any Control Station.
While inside the tunnels, The Xenomorph can detect the movement of any Survivor within 16 metres of its current location, indicated by reddish footsteps seen on the ceiling of the tunnel. Being inside the tunnels also accelerates the Cool-down timer of its Runner Mode.
Special ability: Runner Mode
The Xenomorph automatically enters Runner Mode whenever it is not on Cool-down, he walks on all four legs and becomes stealthier, reducing its terror radius to 24 metres. He cannot voluntarily exit this mode as he must be forced out of it by survivors using Remote Flame Turrets.
Special Item: Remote Flame Turret
Survivors can retrieve up to 4 Remote Flame Turrets and deploy them in the environment to counteract The Xenomorph. Turrets can be undeployed, carried to a new location, and redeployed there.
While carrying a Turret a survivor suffers from hindered, exhausted and incapacitated status effects, but are immune to being detected by The Xenomorph.
Whenever The Xenomorph enters a Turret's firing radius and is in line of sight of it, the Turret will attack and throw flames at it. This attack staggers and eventually stuns him.
If a Turret has been active for too long, it will overheat and break. Survivors can repair overheated Turrets and if they drop it from their inventory, it will be destroyed automatically after being left on the ground for 30 seconds. This timer is paused if a Survivor remains within 6 metres of its drop location.
