The Shape is Behaviour's first movie character adaptation in Dead by Daylight. He does not have a lot of movement speed and that could be seen as a big disadvantage. Taking this into consideration, he needs perks that would give him a little "push" and play around with his stealth and kill potential.
Perk Loadout
Lethal Pursuer
At the start of the trial, the killer can see all of the auras of all the survivors for 7/8/9 seconds.
The Shape starts the trial completely silent and without a terror radius, given that the survivors have no way of knowing who the killer is, he has the opportunity to sneak up on the oblivious survivors and either stalk them for terror 2 or start an early chase.
Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance
At the start of the trial, 4 random hooks are changed into Scourge Hooks, their aura is visible to the killer. The killer starts the trial with 4 tokens, each time a survivor is hooked on a Scourge Hook for the first time, 1 token is consumed and the generator with the most progression explodes and instantly regresses by 25% of its maximum possible progression. All survivors that were repairing that generator will scream, but their location will not be revealed.
After Pain Resonance activates, it'll push off any survivors working on a generator, locking it for a certain amount of time.
Pain Resonance is currently the strongest generator regression perk and allows the Shape to terrorize the survivors without too much worry about being gen-rushed.
Jolt
When the killer puts a survivor into the dying state with a basic attack, all generators within 32 metres of the killer instantly explode and start regressing.
Once the Shape gets to Terror level 3, he can easily snowball and down more than one survivor in a short amount of time. Given that the shape already has to be close to the survivors to get to Terror 3, snowballing can be relatively easy.
Surveillance
Every regressing generator is highlighted in white and if the regression is stopped, the generator is highlighted in yellow for 16 seconds.
This perk allows the Shape to spot where the survivors might have gone and whether or not they are pressuring a highly progressed generator (information about which generator is the most progressed is gained from Pain Resonance)
Add-ons
The ideal add-ons for the Shape are Dead Rabbit (Decreased terror radius in Terror 2, increased terror radius in Terror 3) and J.Myres Memorial (Stalk speed increased).
