Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius is celebrating its first erratic year in the wild. That means Square Enix is about to hit the mobile game with some new characters, abilities and discounts. Because what is a mobile game without arbitrary sales?

Square Enix' Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius is celebrating its first anniversary. Everyone who attended the South Korean Fan Festa event bore witness to various incoming updates, special promotions, and other exciting news.

The "other exciting news" include but are not limited to:

  • Permanent Rare Character Drop Rate Increase: The increase will kick off on 24 November. The drop rates will be tripled for rainbow crystals that contain top-tier characters. This will give players a "greater chance to acquire highly sought after units" says the press release.

  • New Final Fantasy XV Characters: Gladiolus, Cor and Iris are about to join Noctis and the Kingsglaive cast as playable characters. The debut of the three new characters will be accompanied by a new Final Fantasy XV themed event in the coming weeks.
  • Ability Upgrades for Noctis: Even though some new faces will soon join the cast of playable characters, Square Enix doesn't want you to forget about the star of the show. Noctis will "receive a number of boosts to current abilities in addition to receiving new abilities" explains the press release.
  • New Units: Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius' original characters Roy, Aura and Guromu will join the growing cast of units, and will be available through "Featured Summon".

On to the upcoming Black Friday and Cyber Monday Specials: A special Black Friday bundle providing players with a 10+1 Summon Ticket, a 10 percent Trust Moogle, an equippable ability, and a powerful new weapon will be available for purchase using in-game currency.

Additional bargains await players from 24 - 30 November, with discounts of up to 60 percent off. The first anniversary celebrations for Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius will conclude next month with the final Fan Festa Event in Los Angeles at The Wiltern Theater on 09 December.
