Fallout 76 introduced its first season recently and Bethesda revealed the download size of the patch on PC and consoles, including both storefronts for the former.

Fallout 76's Update 20 includes The Legendary Run season on all available platforms but the download size will vary on all of them. For example, the downloads are not the same even on the two stores on PC, despite being on the same platform. Bethesda.net version will need a 4GB download while Steam version will require a 4.3GB download.

With the download speeds of modern-day, the four gigabytes are really not much and neither is that extra 300MB for Steam. Consoles, however, did not fare as well. PlayStation 4 players will need to download 11.2GB of files while Xbox One crew has it even worse with 11.6GB.

As we mentioned before, this is the patch when all the platforms get the inaugural season which will last for 10 weeks in total. Players will be aiming to max out the season pass which will be displayed on a board game which is represented as a race between Captain Cosmos and Dr. Zorbo. Players assume the good captain's role while Dr. Zorbo will probably reach the finish line as the season ends.

Keep in mind that daily and weekly challenges will award the score necessary for progressing the season pass but the downside is that they will no longer offer Atoms.

The currency will instead be earned through the season pass while Nuclear Winter challenges will also award the score on top of their regular rewards. You can check out the full mechanics and the new approach in Update 20 patch notes .
