Fallout 76 players have been asking for a better experience when it comes to respeccing their characters and Bethesda are now launching some changes on PTS that will likely make them happy.

Bethesda will update Fallout 76 PTS on February 5, 2021, and the update will bring along increased inventory size along with other quality of life improvements, such as better options when swapping builds.

To reduce the build changing chores, Fallout 76 will introduce the ability to choose and customise SPECIAL loadouts while you're in the camp. Players will need to get to level 25 in order to start using this feature but it is bound to reduce the amount of time wasted in reshuffling decks and SPECIAL attributes.

Furthermore, players will be able to overhaul their builds this way at no cost - simply being at the camp will allow them to create, save and switch between their builds.

In order to swap a loadout, edit perk cards or SPECIAL points, the players will need to go to the Punch Card Machine which can be found at camp or around train stations in Appalachia. The latter option will offer a way to make changes while moving around the map, without needing to go back to the camp.

Each player will get two loadout slots in the beginning but more will be available in the future and this is where microtransactions rear their ugly heads - Bethesda already hinted unlocking more loadout slots will probably be available through the Atomic Shop .

Technically, you can still get Atoms without paying but it remains to be seen how much of a grind these slots will impose on the players.
