Fallout 76 now looks and plays better than ever on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, thanks to the latest update which seems to have stealth-dropped with the new Season called Once in a Blue Moon.
Interestingly, Bethesda's blog post for the update does not mention the improved performance, which is quite odd since that's probably something that's worth highlighting, given that many players have been waiting for such an update to give Fallout 76 a chance.
But anyway, we can confirm that Fallout 76 now runs great as we've tested the game on our PlayStation 5 console and noticed that the frame rate is now much higher and that the lightning also seems improved.
Additionally, the resolution has improved and the game looks much sharper than before when it was a bit blurry and not really pleasant to the eye. Again, it's a pretty great update, one that players will certainly appreciate.
Fallout 76 had one of the worst launches ever for a Bethesda title but the dev team have introduced a ton of updates since then, fixing most of the issues and adding a lot of meaningful content and quests.
If you love the Fallout franchise and the building mechanics of Fallout 4, you should probably give it a go now that it runs great and most of the issues have been ironed out.
Fallout 76 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
