Wasteland developer InXile Entertainment revealed their big RPG called Clockwork Revolution at the Xbox Games Showcase 2023 and it's safe to say that Xbox fans were positively surprised by the concept of this new Xbox exclusive.
Clockwork Revolution is set in a steampunk city called Avalon and according to the developers, it will be a deep RPG with time-travel mechanics and choices that matter.
According to the developer, players' choices made during their trips into the past can have a major impact on the city and the people, which is something that we've seen in the trailer.
"Clockwork Revolution pushes roleplaying reactivity to new heights. The choices you make on your trips into the past will change the people, the stories, and the city of Avalon itself in extraordinary and (very often) unexpected ways," the devs explained on Twitter.
This certainly sounds pretty incredible and gets us very excited for Clockwork Revolution. Judging by the trailer, the world can change in a very drastic way, bringing dark and very dangerous times where most stores seem closed, the air polluted and robot-like policemen patrolling the streets.
Sadly, we won't get to see this for ourselves in the game as Clockwork Revolution does not have a release date at the moment. There is probably a small chance that the game launches sometime in late 2024 but don't get your hopes up, this one is probably a lock for 2025.
Clockwork Revolution is coming to PC via Steam and Microsoft Store and Xbox Series X|S consoles. It's also launching day one on Xbox Game Pass.
