Today, EA and DICE have shared a couple of new details regarding the next major Battlefield game. Additionally, they also announced a fully fledge Battlefield Mobile game coming in 2022.
This year's Battlefield game is being developed by the biggest development team ever, working on the console and PC game for this Holiday season, Dice reveal in the latest blog post.
As previously announced both Criterion and DICE LA are working together while the team in Gothenburg is taking technology in the game to the next level. DICE hope to create a "jaw-dropping experience for you to enjoy later in 2021."
The game is currently in playtesting phase. The teams are polishing, balancing, and doing everything to make the best possible Battlefield game they can. I can tell you it is a bold step.
"Epic scale. All-out military warfare. Crazy, unexpected moments. Game-changing destruction. Massive battles, packed with more players and mayhem than ever before. All brought to life with the power of next-gen consoles and PCs," DICE reveal.
As for the mobile game, Industrial Toys are working closely with DICE to develop a completely new Battlefield game to smartphones and tablets in 2022. It's a standalone and a completely different game from the one that is coming to console and PC, designed specifically for the mobile platform.
"It’s being built from the ground up by iToys to make Battlefield-on-the-go a reality and you can expect a fully-fledged, skill-based experience. This mobile game is now entering a testing period ahead of launching next year, so expect more details to come," Dice state in the blog post.
