A brand-new character named Chiori will be added to Genshin Impact version 4.5. As a 5-star Geo unit, she is expected to serve as a sub-DPS, providing support for characters such as Navia and Arataki Itto. A brand-new event wish is also scheduled to be included in the game.
All this was revealed on the livestream for Genshin Impact version 4.5. According to HoyoVerse, the global release of Genshin Impact version 4.5 across all platforms is scheduled for March 13, 2024.

New Banners in Genshin Impact Version 4.5
Along with a few rerun units, Genshin Impact 4.5 will introduce the brand-new character Chiori. The banners and their corresponding phases are mentioned below:
Phase 1:
- Chiori (5-star, Geo, Sword)
- Arataki Itto (5-star, Geo, Claymore)
Phase 2:
- Neuvillette (5-star, Hydro, Catalyst)
- Kazuha (5-star, Anemo, Sword)
The 4-star units that will be displayed in the banners will be updated at a later time; they are currently unknown.
New Event Wishes in Genshin Impact Version 4.5
The Genshin Impact 4.5 update will include a third banner and a new wish. This will be called Chronicled Wish and will run every patch. It will only feature 5-star units, with a maximum of one fate point. This means that the first five stars will most likely be split 50/50, while the second five stars will be guaranteed. You can select either five-star characters or weapons.
Furthermore, if you lose 50-50 for the first time, the unit you receive will be the type you specified. In other words, if you choose a character, you will not receive a weapon, and vice versa. The characters present in this banner need to have had at least three event wish banners until now and should not have been featured in any recent banners.
New Events in Genshin Impact Version 4.5
The Genshin Impact 4.5 update will include a variety of events in the game. A list of all the events has been discussed below:
- Alchemical Ascension: The Knights of Favonius in Mondstadt are devising strategies to publicise their successes in alchemy. Participate in this event to obtain Primogems, Mora, and the Dialogue of the Desert Sages Polearm. This is the patch update's highlighted event.
- Feline Fortress Furrdyssey: Paimon wants to have some fun playing with cats, and players have to travel to Cat’s Tail for this.
- Rolling Crossfire: The Genius Inventor of the Gardes has come up with a brand new weapon, and players have been invited to test it.
- The Great Fayz Reaction Debate: Jami, the Amurta Researcher, has come up with efficient enhancement measures for the Fayz potion, and he needs the Traveller for verification.
Version 4.5 of Genshin Impact contains a tonne of things to do, areas to explore, and yes, events to grind out. So, with a few more days to go, let's see what else HoyoVerse has in store for us.
