Xur is back, selling yet another assortment of Destiny 2 Exotics, and Hunters are the not-so-clear winners of the weekly lottery.
Xur location, August 13, 2021
You can find Xur in Winding Cove, EDZ, this week. If you're not familiar with his exact location, spawn on the aforementioned landing zone, turn left and go until you see a fork in the road. Take the right path and go straight until you reach the crashed Fallen ship. At that point, Destiny 2 offers several ways to reach Xur's location, pictured below.
Xur weapon and armour, August 13, 2021
- Prometheus Lens
- Graviton Forfeit
- Vesper of Radius
Prometheus Lens is a fun weapon to clear minor enemies with but it's hard to call it a good choice in either PvE or PvP, since it uses Special Ammo but doesn't really provide the firepower to justify it. Overall, there are better Exotics at every turn.
Graviton Forfeit is arguably the best armour piece at Xur this week. While its intrinsic perk is not something to be cherished, the helmet will get buffed in Season 15 and will be a bit better than it is now. This week's roll also has 66 in stats but sadly, Intellect and Recovery have low rolls.
Synthoceps is probably the most amusing of the three Exotics that Xur is offering since it can cause massive AoE damage with any subclass but excels with the middle tree Striker as it turns you into a nuke. Bring a Monte Carlo along and just keep jumping into groups of enemies who will get instantly deleted. Guardians too, provided they clump up enough.
Vesper of Radius might find some use in PvE due to enhanced Rift recharge when surrounded but in PvP, it's really hard to justify using this Exotic. On top of that, the roll is pretty horrible so it's not a good pickup for Warlocks however you look at it.
