Bungie revealed how they will deal with some of the Destiny 2 content that is going away but was still too important to completely vault - it will be available through kiosks.
From November 10 onwards, The Tower in Destiny 2 will have two additional kiosks that will handle some of the things Amanda Holliday and Master Rahool did previously.
The Quest Archive will be located next to the Postmaster frame where the players will be able to pick up quests they may have discarded previously. Furthermore, they will also be able to enter the revamped newcomer experience through the updated tutorials and Cosmodrome.
It is the other one that will likely interest players the most though. Lost Lights Exotic Archive will be located next to the Vault. This is where you will be able to acquire Exotics and Legendary weapons that eluded your reach in previous seasons. You will be able to find Exotic, Pinnacle and Pursuit weapons from quests that will no longer be available but it remains to be seen if the non-Exotics will still be capped at 1060 power.
Prices of these weapons will vary, depending on how hard it was to obtain them. The prices will apparently consist of Glimmer, destination materials, masterworking materials along with one of the more valuable currencies - Exotic Cipher for Exotics and Ascendant Shards for Legendaries.
There will be one more currency used for weapons from retired raids - Spoils of Conquest. It will be obtained by completing raids that are available and will serve to get items from raids that were vaulted.
Meanwhile. Exotic Ciphers will no longer be so hard to obtain as Xur will carry one per week. Unlike the rest of his goods, you will not outright buy the Ciphers but get a quest to obtain one instead.
