Bungie revealed more details about Destiny 2 transmog system, which will be called Armor Synthesis, including the potential release date.
Armor Synthesis is coming to Destiny 2 in Season 14 but Bungie didn't specifically say that it will debut with the season itself. Season 14 will start on May 11, 2021, meaning the transmog system will come out on the same date or at some point during the three months after it.
The armour to ornament service will be handled by Ada-1, who previously acted as a vendor during the Forge weapon craze when we all wanted those fantastic Tatara Gaze sniper rifles or Kindled Orchid curated roll with Kill Clip and Rampage. Anyway, she is returning and it remains to be seen if she will let Hunters jump all over the display cases now that all her gear has been sunset.
There will be two ways to make your collected armour pieces into ornaments. One of them is to grab Ada's seasonal bounties that will provide them with materials to power up Ada's Loom, which will let them turn armour into ornaments. Alternatively, you will be able to purchase Synthesis tokens for Silver in the Eververse.
Inventory UI will also be reworked to fit the new transmog system so that is one more thing to look forward to but not the last.
Certainly not the least of the goodies mentioned, shaders will also be reworked to act as simple unlocks so they don't take up space in the inventory.
