Time for petting is almost at an end in Destiny 2 but players will have a new opportunity in the near future.
Destiny 2 players found an unusual companion in HELM but an adorable one regardless.
Archie was making the place feel homey for the Guardians who could pet the robotic dog, which is not something you get to do every day. Fallout fans probably missed something like that since the New Vegas days.
Bungie shared some of the design progress and how they first came to the idea of having Archie around, which yielded a somewhat disturbing animation in the latest TWAB .
In any case, the robotic canine is going away at the end of the season, when the new expansion kicks in.
It all turned out good, however, and we got to enjoy petting a robo-doggo in HELM instead of a kneeling humanoid shape.
Those who will miss Archie shouldn't despair as the doggo isn't going away forever. In fact, it will only be the first season of Lightfall where Archie will not be around and it's set to return in Season 21.
With that in mind, animal lovers among the Guardians should keep calm and pet the doggo before the three-month hiatus.
