Bungie revealed more details about the first Iron Baner event that will happen in Destiny 2's Season of the Chosen and it will bring back two weapons we didn't have random rolls on before.

Season 13's first Iron Banner will start on February 23, 2021, and besides the four pinnacle drops, it will bring back two weapons from Destiny 2 Year 1 . The weapons in question are the SMG Multimach CCX and Time-Worn Spire, both of which will have random rolls for the first time.

Even though Pulse Rifles are in a better spot than SMGs currently, Multimach CCX is possibly the more exciting drop between the two. The reason for this is the new Iron Reach perk that can be rolled on Iron Banner weapons. It provides a whopping 20 range boost at the cost of 40 stability, which may throw some players off but the best part is that you can offset this problem with the rest of the perks on the weapon.

Should the CCX roll with any Sight besides IS 5 Circle, any magazine roll and Dynamic Sway Reduction on top of Iron Reach, you will have a lead spitting, 900 RPM weapon of immense destructive possibilities in the Crucible. If you don't hug corners with it, the SMG could turn out to be a fantastic weapon that lets you manoeuvre around some of the most used weapons in the game - shotguns and hand cannons.

Getting used to this type of weapon and playing it right could result in the opponents' inability to counter you if they are indeed running a shotgun or HC. Considering this is a low to low-mid range weapon, its best company will be a sniper rifle which should provide you with lethality across all ranges.
