In the latest video on Cyberpunk 2077 social media, Senior Level Designer Miles Tost said that as players use one weapon, they will increase its proficiency. This will lead to smoother and cooler animations as you get used to weapons.
Today, CD Projekt Red decided to share a couple of new details about their upcoming RPG Cyberpunk 2077 as no one really talked about these since a brand new gameplay demo was shown at E3 2019. In the latest video on their official social media, CD Projekt Red offered insight into weapon progression and animations.
Cyberpunk 2077 Senior Level Designer Miles Tost said in a very short video that as players use certain weapons, they will become better at handling it, increasing its proficiency. This will increase accuracy, reloading speed and a couple of other things, but Tost also said that each weapon will have new, cooler animations as your character gets used to it.
For example, once you start using one weapon, the reloading speed and the animation won't be as effective and smooth, making your character look a bit clumsy. However, once you shoot up some enemies and get to know its behaviour, the weapon animations will change, making your V look cooler in the process.
The goal is to make players feel like they are constantly progressing throughout the game. At the moment, it's unknown how many animations Cyberpunk 2077 will have for each weapon, but the system is certainly a fresh addition that could make the whole experience more immersive and realistic.

In other Cyberpunk 2077 news, Mike Pondsmith, the creator of the original RPG recently talked about , that is apparently, now a real possibility thanks to Hollywood star Keanu Reeves, who is set to play Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk 2077 is hitting the shelves on 16 April 2020 for PC, Play Station 4 and Xbox One.
