Cyberpunk 2077 will not be available on Google Stadia on launch day. The game will eventually arrive on the streaming platform before the end of the year.
After the initial delay earlier this year, Cyberpunk 2077 is now on scheduled to release on September 17 2020. However, it seems that those who planned to play the game on Google Stadia will have to wait a bit longer than that.
According to the latest press release by CD Projekt Red, Cyberpunk 2077 will launch in September 2020 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One but Google Stadia version will not be available on launch day. Instead, it will arrive "before the end of the year".
No specific release date has been set by CD Projekt Red, which means the Stadia version could be delayed up to three months. This will certainly disappoint many Google Stadia users who were looking forward to playing the game on the same day as PC and consoles owners.
On top of this, this is another major blow for Google Stadia, which failed to meet expectations in recent months. In contrast, Stadia's competitor GeForce Now will offer Cyberpunk 2077 to its users on launch day.
