Thanks to the latest details from GameStar podcast with Cyberpunk 2077 devs, we found out some new info about Cyberspace, quest design, improved melee system and the number of map icons, which will be toned down significantly.
CD Projekt Red are set to introduce a ton of new Cyberpunk 2077 details and footage at the upcoming Night City Wire digital event. However, until then we have some fresh info about the game, thanks to GameStar podcast (translated by u/Moraez ) where Cyberpunk 2077 devs talked about Cyberspace, quests and many other things.
CYBERSPACE SUMMON
One of the most interesting new details is regarding Cyberspace. Apparently, players will be able to summon "fantasy creatures and warriors who can burn out another hacker". This has been further clarified by the translator:
"What will be possible in this Cyberspace when it comes to depth and features: because the Cyberspace in Cyberpunk 2020 is a bit like Skyrim meets Tron. There are weapons like in a phantasy RPG. That u can summon someone who burns out an evil hacker. He scorches his brain and the hacker topples over. Or that you throw fireballs and block them with shields. So it sounds like a phantasy-RPG in a high-tech environment."
MAP ICONS
The devs also confirmed in the podcast that Cyberpunk 2077 with tone down map icons. As you may recall, The Witcher 3 was jam-packed with question marks, barrel and chests icons which usually marked a place with a piece of gear or weapon. This will not be the case in Cyberpunk 2077 as it simply creates too much unnecessary work for players.
MELEE SYSTEM
The melee system which was showcased in previous gameplay demos was in the early phase of development and has seen some massive improvements. "The melee fight System shown in the E3 trailer was not nearly where they wanted it so expect some big improvements there," it's written in the post.
On top of this, you can expect an improvement to level design, which is apparently as big as it was from The Witcher 2 to The Witcher 3. Players will also get more options to solve a quest while at least a thousand NPCs will have handcrafted daily routines.
